A stunning beautiful antique King James Bible, very attractively presented in a remarkable contemporary fine binding intricately tooled in gilt with some blindstamped designs. This edition is also very nice with coloured illustrations and maps.

Full brown morocco with decorative gilt and blind stamped designs to boards and spine. A beautiful copy of the Bible indeed. Binding lightly rubbed and scuffed with some curved indents to the front board. Both boards attached with rubbing along joints and the front hinge cracked. Shelf and edge wear. Corners very lightly turned-in. All page edges gilt with light scratches. No attached bookplates or ownership inscriptions. Endpapers foxed. Text block very clean with light edge toning and occasional foxing. Plates with some foxing, as often.
