Full brown calf, finely rebacked, with a gilt title and blindstamped design to the spine. Both boards are securely attached, secured with new joints and hinges from the rebacking and new pastedowns. Binding lightly rubbed and scuffed. Shelf and edge wear. Shelf lean. Page edges toned. No attached bookplates or ownership inscriptions. Text block very clean with light toning and occasional minor foxing. The last three pages (2 leaves) of Reigns of Kings, misbound between the Epistle and Pedigrees, where it should be bound with the first leaf between the Catalogue of Authors and the Catalogue of Nobility, else collates as complete. A superior copy with particularly notable provenance.
