Uniform contemporary full tree (marbled) calf bindings. Spines without raised bands, but with gilt tooled designs repeating in compartments delineated by gilt bands. Black tooled morocco labels to spines, volume label lacking to second volume, else all others are present. Bindings rubbed with the leather slightly dry. All boards are securely attached with the bindings secure. The set stands without shelf lean. Top page edges uniformly dulled as typical. Bookplate to front pastedown in each volume, ink inscription to front blank recto in first volume (only), also visible through the blank on the verso, but not spreading further. Some foxing to endpapers, else generally very clean through the text blocks. An excellent set of this popular collection of 18th century poems.
