Full panelled calf binding with the Royal Crest in gilt to both boards, and brown tooled labels in compartments to the spine between raised bands, other compartments decorated in gilt. Erratic pagination but the text seems to follow continuously. Both boards detached. Binding rubbed and scuffed with small scratches. Shelf and edge wear. Red spotted page edges dulled. Stamps to a few places including two on the title page. Text block very clean with occasional foxing. Tear to pp.27/28 with the torn piece present but detached, affecting some text. Ink inscriptions to pp.593. Closed tear to the bottom of pp.593/594, affecting a small portion of text. Pencil underlining to pp.135. Pencil inscription to pp.149.
