Condition: 

Spines with minor scuffing, superficial scratches, and spots of discolouration. The spine of volume four is darker than the others. All boards securely attached with minor wear to joints and cracked hinges. Boards with scuffing, scratches, rubbing, and marks. Shelf and edge wear. Dulling and superficial scratches on page edges. Frontispiece and engraved title page with some foxing and small damp stains to edges in all volumes. Prominent damp stains to engraved title page, frontispice, and title page in volume four. Frontispiece transferred onto engraved title page in all volumes. Text blocks very clean with light toning and very sporadic very minor foxing. Title page in volume two bound in a different place than in the other volumes (after the contents).
