The second edition, enlarged following the 1612 first, of this popular work on astronomy and astrology as well as other utilitarian topics, including distances and routes between locations, lists of living nobility as of the year 1611, agricultural advice, among many other topics. However, its principal content is astrological and astronomical, with large sections devoted to the Zodiac, Star Signs, etc, and other interesting sections discussing Tycho Brahe's calculations on the solar system, calculations for the sizes and distances of planets, etc. The very attractive woodcuts are of particular note which are very rarely encountered in English books of this genre, this early.

"It contains instructions and tables for astrological calculations, finding the time by either the position of the sun or the moon, determining dates of movable Christian feasts, etc. The calendar section is followed by shorter sections on financial advice, tables of historical information and legal matters." (Tomash & Williams, H163)
