Condition: 

Spines with light cracking to backstrip and very minor rubbing. New fragments of leather backstrip attached to the top of the spine of volume one and the bottom of the spine of volume two. All boards loosely attached with most joints and hinges cracked. Both boards of volume two mostly detached. Boards with minor scuffing, scratches, and rubbing. Shelf and edge wear. Pen ownership inscription on front pastedown and preliminary in both volumes. Bookseller stickers on front pastedown in both volumes. Ownership stamp on front pastedown and title page in both volumes. Hole in the middle of leaf numbered 119/120 in volume one. Text block very clean with light toning and very sporadic very minor foxing. Small tear to the corner of plate facing page 71 in volume one. Title page of volume two offset around the edges and toned with small mark. Plates with very minor tears to edges. Uncollated but present volumes appear complete.
