Full brown calf bindings with red tooled labels in compartments to spines between gilt bands, other compartments with simple decorative gilt. Bindings lightly rubbed and scuffed, more so to the boards. All boards securely attached. Shelf and edge wear. Marbled page edges dulled. No attached bookplates. Ink ownership inscription to front blank in all volumes. Text blocks clean with light toning and some foxing, some leaves more foxed and toned than others, especially leaves surrounding plates. No plates in volume one, 29 plates in volume two, 38 plates in volume three, and 3 plates in volume four. Edge repair to iii/iv in volume two. Small tear to the bottom of pp.193/194 in volume two. Repairs to pp.497/498 in volume two. Title page in volume three trimmed. Endpapers replaced. Some small edge tears. Plates transferred onto pages opposite.
