Original full vellum binding with gilt titles and designs to the front board, and gilt titles to the spine. Binding in very good to near fine condition, significantly brighter than typically encountered, with some rubbing, scuffing, and marks. Lacking the ribbon ties. Minor shelf and edge wear. Top page edge gilt with some loss. Page edges toned. Externally one of the greatest obtainable copies of this very scarce signed limited edition. Arthur Rackham's signature and limited edition number to the verso of the half title. No attached bookplates or ownership inscriptions. Text block very clean with some edge toning to the title page and other occasional leaves, and occasional foxing. Present is also a separate "specimen plate", the book collates as complete including all called for illustrations, etc. A remarkable copy.
