Full brown calf binding with a red tooled label in a compartment to the spine between raised bands, other compartments with decorative gilt. Tooled label dulled and scuffed. Binding rubbed and scuffed with small fragments of the backstrip lacking from the top and bottom of the spine. Wear to headcap and tailcap. Both boards attached with cracked joints, and wear to hinges, thus somewhat fragile. Shelf and edge wear. Corners rubbed, more so to the top corners. Spotted page edges dulled, top edge darkened as often. No attached bookplates. Ink inscriptions to front pastedown, title page, and rear pastedown. Stamp reading "DUPLICATE" to front blank. Small tear with loss to the top corner of the front blank. Text block very clean with light edge toning and occasional foxing and marginalia. Very small wormholing to the bottom of most leaves throughout the text block, some of which are circled in purple crayon, not affecting any text. Slight damp staining to the top of the last few leaves.
