18th century quarter calf over marbled boards, probably originally bound in a Cambridge panelled manner, with the imprint of this visible to the pastedowns. Binding rubbed with the leather discoloured, joints cracked, with boards attached but fragile. Shelf lean. Without any attached bookplates or ownership inscriptions, but with a contemporary inscription to the foot of pp.60. Exceptionally clean throughout the text, generally without fault.
