A phenomenal collection of Catholic books, largely from the 1700s, in nice early bindings, including a hand-painted binding and several in attractive vellum bindings. The majority of these have provenance associated with Catholic monasteries and ecclesiastical institutions.

Condition:
Various bindings in varying conditions, worn, rubbed and scuffed. All boards attached, wear to joints and hinges, some starting or cracked, thus some fragile. Shelf and edge wear. Some boards and corners lightly warped. Page edges dulled. Some attached bookplates, stamps, and ownership inscriptions. Some volumes with wormholing throughout. Text blocks generally clean with light toning and sporadic foxing, some volumes more foxed than others. Uncollated.
