Full brown calf with decorative gilt. Binding lightly rubbed and scuffed with some ink stains. Shelf and edge wear. Corners somewhat turned-in. Page edges toned with some discolouration. Text block overall fairly clean with light toning and occasional foxing and marks. Some edge tears to leaves. Damp staining to the last few leaves. Plates are uncollated.

Repair to the first title page of the Book of Common Prayer. Ink drawing to the frontispiece transferred onto the title page of the Book of Common Prayer. Edge repair to A3. Fragments lacking from A4-A6 with repairs having hand drawn lines to make up partially what is lacking. Ink stains to the reverso of C2, C3, reverso of D4, and D5 with small effect on legibility. Very small tear to C5, not affecting legibility. Pagination between C8 and F1 is continuous, as the catchwords match. Smudged ink inscription to the head of F6. G6 with a smudged ink inscription to the top of the page. Ink inscription to plate facing P4 which has transferred onto the page opposite. Edge repair to 2E4, affecting a small part of printed marginalia. 2E6 with a small corner repair. Bottom part of 2F3 is lacking with some loss to text. Some ink stains to the reverso of 2I7 and 2I8, text still legible. Ink stains to the reverso of 2Q4 and 2Q5, with small loss of sense. Very small hole to 2S6, not affecting legibility. 2U6 with small ink stains. Very small ink stain to 2X5. 2Y7 with pencil marks. Crease with a tear across Ain the New Testament. Smudged ink description to plate facing the reverso of A7 in the New Testament. Ink inscription to plate facing the reverso of A8 with the ink partially transferred onto the page opposite. Small tear to plate facing B8 in the New Testament. Repairs to torn plates between D2 and D3 in the New Testament. Ink stains to the reverso of F4 and F5 in the New Testament. Ink stains to the reverso of G3 an G4 in the New Testament. Repair to the edge of I7 in the New Testament. Repair to the bottom corner of P1 in the New Testament. Ink inscription to both sides of G2 of the Book of Psalms, which has partially transferred onto the F4
