The Holy Bible, Containing The Old Testament and The New: Translated out of the Original Tongues: and with the Former Translations Diligently Compared and Revised, By His Majesty's special Command. Appointed to be Read in Churches. London: John Reeves, 1802.

-------------------

A beautiful antique King James Bible printed in 1802, here spread across four volumes and thus allowing for a really great readability as the type is a good size and layout and the paper is a great weight. Truly a fantastic set, with the Old Testament spread across the first three volumes and the New Testament in the fourth volume.

This set is also remarkable for its fantastic provenance which dates all the way back to the time of printing through to at least 1947 but quite likely even later, and so we here have a beautiful Bible which has been well cared for in the same family's collection for well over a century, quite possibly as much as two centuries, and it still remains in the original beautiful intricately decorated red bindings.
