A very large particularly attractive King James Bible printed in 1814 in fantastic condition, beautifully illustrated with full page plates throughout, housed in a phenomenal full calf binding. An especially large and heavy folio Bible.

Condition: 

[(1), frontis, t.p., B1, a1-n2, B2-10N2 (OT), B1-R2, Y1-2B2, 2G1-2S1 (Apocrypha), t.p., 10O1-14F2 (NT), 14G1-14H2, (1)].


Full brown calf binding with a black tooled label in a compartment to the spine between raised bands, also there is a small fragment of the original backstrip with the date attached to the bottom of the spine. Binding lightly rubbed and scuffed. Front board is an easier binding, and the spine and rear board are newer as part of a rebinding. Both boards attached with hinges reinforced and starting. Shelf and edge wear. Corners turned-in. Page edges lightly toned. Text block very clean with light toning and occasional foxing. Small number of leaves lacking, please refer to the collection above. Very small tears to the bottom corner of 8Y2, affecting only a small part of the text. Occasional small edge tears, not affecting any text. Some damp staining, mostly to plates, and most prominently from 10D-10D2.
