A beautiful rather large antique King James Bible with the boards finely blindstamped, beautifully illustrated throughout. This KJV is bound without the Apocrypha, so just contains the canonical books of the Old and New Testaments.

Contemporary full pebbled morocco, the boards finely stamped in blind, with the titles tooled in gilt to the spine between raised bands. Binding rubbed with a little discolouration, spine sunned, joints rubbed, with both boards securely attached, the binding secure, and without shelf lean. All edges gilt with some scratches and discolouration as typical. Yellow endpapers (original) without any attached bookplates or ownership inscriptions. Preliminaries remain blank without any written genealogical records etc, toned, a little dampstained & foxed. Text block mildly toned throughout but generally very good or better. Plates with a few spots of foxing but generally also remain very good. Small loss at leaf edge of 7Q1, generally without loss of sense to text, else with the text block very good throughout.
