Full black calf with blind stamped boards with gilt borders, red tooled label to spine in a compartment between raised bands, other compartments with blind stamping, and a compartment with gilt volume numbers. Shows well on the shelf. Bindings lightly rubbed and scuffed. All boards attached with rubbing along joints and some hinges cracked. Shelf and edge wear. Marbled page edge dulled. No attached bookplates or ownership inscriptions. The family register has no entries. Text blocks extremely clean with light edge toning and occasional foxing, some leaves more toned and foxed than others. Plates with some minor foxing. Endpapers foxed.
