-------------------
Arrian of Nicomedia was a 2nd century Greek historian and philosopher primarily known for his writings on the campaigns of Alexander the Great. The Anabasis of Alexander by Arrian is considered the best source on the campaigns of Alexander the Great, following on from earlier sources such as Xenophon and Quintus Curtius Rufus. This is the second edition of Nicholas Blancard's renowned translation into Latin which is frequently regarded as a monumental edition for correcting many of the errors of the prior editions.
