A very interesting early bibliographical work with no copies currently for sale worldwide, and we could not trace any sales records at auction. A very rare set. The work is the magnum opus of Fabricius who is credited with 128 books.

Condition:

Full brown calf bindings with red and black tooled labels in compartments between raised bands to the spines, other compartments with decorative gilt. Bindings scuffed and rubbed with some discolouration mask and occasional small fragments of leather peeled off. Occasional small dents to extremities. All boards attached with rubbing along joints, minor wear to hinges, and some joints/hinges starting. Boards warped. Shelf and edge wear. Red spotted page edges dulled, top edge darkened. Bookplate attached to front pastedown in all volumes. Pencil shelf mark to front blank in all volumes. Edge toning to endpapers as commensurate with the full leather bindings. Text blocks very clean with light toning and occasional foxing. Dent to the rear board of volume three.
