Full calf, rebacked over contemporary boards, with gilt title and date in compartments on the spine. Very minor rubbing to spine. Headcap and tailcap replaced. Both boards securely attached with minor wear to joints. Boards lightly scuffed and rubbed. Shelf and edge wear with corners repaired with new leather. Dulling to page edges. New pastedown and blanks, retaining two original blanks, one at the front and one at the rear. Text block largely clean with occasional foxing. Few minor marks to title page. Ink inscription reading "Repaired 1994" to rear pastedown with the bookbinder's sticker reading "Frank Webster Bookbinder of Chilham Kent"
