Near contemporary green half morocco over marbled paper backed boards with gilt title and author to the spine in compartments between raised bands. Bindings lightly rubbed and scuffed. Both boards attached with rubbing along joints and hinges starting. Shelf and edge wear. All page edges gilt with minor scratches. Bookplate attached to front pastedown. Text block extremely clean with light edge toning and occasional foxing. Plates exceptionally clean. Original covers from January to September and November. All plates are present. Odd toning to pp.283 and its facing plate.
