Contemporary quarter calf binding, retaining the original tooled red morocco label. Binding rubbed and dry, would benefit from the application of a leather conditioner. Minor losses. Boards scuffed and worn. Shelf edge and wear. Some wear along the joints but with both boards securely attached. Binding secure. No attached bookplates. Some preliminary leaves creased. Dedication leaf torn with some loss to the top part, with leaf vii-viii torn lacking the bottom third. Pencil inscription to final page, approximately contemporary. Mildly toned throughout the text, else generally clean save for some mild scattered foxing.
