Full brown calf with a brown tooled label to the spine in a compartment between raised bands. Binding rubbed and scuffed, more so to extremities. Both boards attached with cracked joints and hinges, thus fragile. Shelf and edge wear. Red page edges somewhat dulled. Residue to the front pastedown from a removed bookplate. Faded and thus illegible ownership inscription to the head of the title page. Ownership inscription to the head of pp.1. Edge toning to endpapers as commensurate with the full leather bindings. Text block very clean with light toning and occasional foxing. Small edge tears to the margins of two leaves, pp.283/284 and pp.285/286. Very small ink stain to pp.878 covering parts of two words.
