Condition: 

[(1), engraved title, t.p., 17pp., 506pp., 434pp., 78pp., (2)], [(1), t.p., pp.3-468, 416pp., 104pp., (3)].

 

Full brown spotted calf bindings with red tooled labels in compartments to the spines between raised bands. White shelf marks to the bottoms of the spines. Bindings rubbed and scuffed with some scratches. All boards attached with wear to joints and hinges, some hinges cracked. Shelf and edge wear. Spotted page edges dulled and toned. Library ephemera bound in and attached to front pastedowns, blanks and between title pages and first pages of text. Stamps to title pages in both volumes and last page of text in volume one. Small hole to 2*2, affecting a small portion of preliminary text. Text blocks very clean with light edge toning and occasional foxing.
