An early printed commentary on Peter Lombard's Sentences by the theologian Nicolas Denisse in an attractive full vellum binding, printed right at the start of the post-incunable period. This comes from the printing house of Martin Morin who was active between circa 1490 and 1518 and printed circa 34 titles. Many of his titles were printed for the English market, likely including this one, as we find an early English ownership inscription to a preliminary blank.
VERY RARE. USTC records only 9 copies held institutionally worldwide (across two entries for the same edition), and this is the only copy we can trace in commerce.

Contemporary full vellum binding with some manuscript notes to the spine and a laid down label, almost certainly from early institutional ownership. Both boards are securely attached, the binding is secure, and is securely attached to the page block. Stands without shelf lean. Some contemporary ownership inscriptions to blanks. Some loss to the foot of title leaf, early restoration. Collates as complete. The * gatherings in the collation are not signed with asterisks, but with unique symbols which are not supported in the type of our computer, and so have been replaced with asterisks to signify the various gatherings with these strange signatures. Text block toned throughout, some dampstaining, a few leaves dog-eared, with some wormholing in differing places throughout, occasionally catching some text. Sporadic contemporary marginalia, including a few manicules, one bifolium has very extensive marginalia (k3-4). Attractive printer's device of a very scarcely encountered printer present to the final leaf. No attached bookplates.
