The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri. New York: Franklin Library for Oxford University Press, 1985.

Perhaps the finest book ever printed by Franklin Library, one of the highlights of their greatest series, the full leather Oxford University Press edition of Dante.

-------------------

The Franklin Library was a renowned American publisher that produced collector's edition books. Their finely crafted volumes, bound in leather with gilt detailing, showcased classic literature by authors like Shakespeare, Twain, and Austen. The limited editions and exclusive series, sold through subscriptions, made them highly sought after by collectors. Though the publisher ceased operations in 2000, Franklin Library books remain prized for their exceptional craftsmanship and literary value.

Their greatest production was the Oxford Library of the World's Greatest Books in full leather. These are some of the finest modern productions of books, and far superior to the books produced by Easton Press, etc, where most of the later Franklin Library books are of much inferior quality: faux leather, quarter leather, etc.
