Condition:

Spine and boards in near fine condition with a small bump at the foot of the front board (else fine). Binding slightly cocked as typically found but without shelf lean. Silver gilt shows well. Page edges toned with very minor spotting. Very minor shelf wear present. Text block very clean throughout with a few very small marks on a few leaves, all unobtrusive to the legibility. Pastedown and endpapers lightly offset from dust jacket inner flap and toned with some foxing. At the front this also affects the second leaf verso, but does not affect the title page. Pen ownership inscription on ffep. Pink and very small damp stain from dust jacket can be seen from first ffep. to pp.30 at edge. A very small number of leaves have dog eared corners which have since been placed back to their normal place, but the occasional light crease remains. Dust jacket lacking some very small fragments at the head of the spine panel and a larger section at the foot of the spine panel as pictured. Small repair to the inside of the dust jacket spine attaching a heavily rubbed section of the spine panel (the part which reads 'Diamonds'). Else, small creasing, very minor tears to extremities, and minor marks on dust jacket with some dampstaining visible on the reverso and back panel at edge and some toning.

Text block begins on page 11 and continues uninterrupted to page 257 as called for.
