This is a later state of the first edition, but does contain a few early issue points, listed below.
Edition points include:
- The frontispiece without a page number
- No quotation marks for "The Party" on pp.xv line 2
- "shewed" and "shew" for "showed" and "show" error pp.40 lines 16 and 17 (Present)
- "Dull cooking" for "dull crying" pp.101, 9 lines up
- "suspiciously" for "auspiciously" pp.105, 3 lines up
- "delight" for "joy" error pp.284 5th and 6th line from the bottom (Present)
- "Capatin" for "Captain" pp.324 final line (Present)
- "above stairs" for "downstairs" pp.494 line 1
- "two" for "too" pp.497 line 29

Half black calf over marbled paper backed boards. Lacking tooled label. Binding rubbed and scuffed. Both boards attached with joints and hinges starting/cracked, hinges repaired with glue causing the first and last blanks to be attached further forward, and thus not opening as far out. Shelf and edge wear. Page edges toned. No attached bookplates or ownership inscriptions. Text block very clean with light toning and occasional foxing. Lacking frontispiece engraved title, and xv-xvi (list of plates), else collates as complete with the remaining 38 plates. Plates offset and foxed. Endpapers foxed. Light damp staining to the top of the first few leaves of the text block to pp.44.
