Half brown calf over marbled paper backed boards with a black tooled label in a compartment to the spine between gilt bands, other compartments with decorative gilt. Binding lightly rubbed and scuffed. Both boards attached with rubbing along joints and hinges cracked, thus somewhat fragile. Shelf and edge wear. Marbled page edges somewhat dulled. Bookplate attached to front pastedown. Ink ownership inscription to front blank. Text block very clean with light edge toning and occasional foxing. All plates called for as listed in the list of plates.
