Original publisher's full morocco bindings. Spines slightly sunned, rubbed, but show very nicely on the shelf. Both volumes retain their original red tooled morocco labels. Joints secure with all boards securely attached, hinges without issue. Bindings secure and without shelf lean. Some minor superficial scuffs to boards with a little discolouration, but with both volumes remaining very presentable. Page edges uncut at the fore-edge and bottom edge as published. Bookplate to front pastedown in both volumes with a gift inscription to the ffep verso in volume one dated 1933. On the bibliographical note leaf this copy is unnumbered with the word "number" scored out and "out of series" written below, presumably by the publisher. Internally very clean throughout, without any foxing. The entire text block is bright, without toning, an excellent example of this desirable limited edition of Don Quixote from the Nonesuch Press.
