Provenance:
Bookplate reading "Halton Bucks" which refers to Halton House in Buckinghamshire, a property owner by the Rothschild family. These books were acquired as part of an acquisition from the Rothschild collection.

Condition:
All in varying condition though overall VG+. All finely bound, half calf or morocco over marbled paper backed boards with tooled labels and gilt designs. One volume quarter calf over marbled paper backed boards with gilt tooling to spine. They show very nicely on the shelf as individual books and as a whole collection. Most have the attached Rothschild bookplate from "Halton Bucks" to their front pastedown. Some have shelf marks written on front blanks. Text blocks overall fairly clean with some foxing, some volumes are more foxed than others, some toned. Half title of Physiologie du Mariage prominently foxed.
