Condition:
Contemporary full calf binding, attractively blind tooled, rubbed, some wear and minor losses at extremities, joints starting, but with both boards securely attached and the binding secure. Attractive engraved title page present with a portrait of the author in a neo-classical scene, very neat contemporary ownership inscription present to head of ffep recto showing this copy was in 17th-century England; the binding is plausibly also English. Internally toned, mild wear at leaf edges, else internally clean. A very good copy.
