Original full black cloth binding with gilt lettered title to the spine and the gilt eyes to the blindstamped skull design on the front board.  Some wear to the extremities of the spine with some loss at the foot. Some marks to the page edges including foxing. Joints fine with both boards attached. Binding slightly cocked as usual without shelf lean. With an ink ownership inscription to the front pastedown dated June 1960. Exceptionally clean throughout the text block with some marks to the endpapers, collated as complete. 

Spine panel of the dust jacket toned with discolouration and some small stains to the entire dust jacket. Wear at the joins though without the usual loss in these locations. Significant loss to the bottom of the rear panel including some text loss. Not price clipped with the price 15s. net. Some foxing to verso side. Extremities toned.
