Original contemporary full calf binding, panelled, certainly of English origin. Binding rubbed with some losses to leather, peeling in places, both boards securely attached. A few ownership inscriptions to endpapers, one to title page. Pasted paper to front endpaper dated 1837 recording S.T. Etherington's death, quite possibly transferred from a family Bible. Some corresponding staining to reverse of that blank from the glue. Text block mildly toned, but generally exceptionally clean throughout, it's really rather remarkable how beautifully clean the text block is throughout, some small minor worming in marginal blank space to a few leaves but generally internally excellent. Collates as complete including the index, errata, and advertisement leaf.
