Provenance:
Bookplate inscribed "Easton Neston Library Case 34 Shelf A". Easton Neston is a grade I listed house in Northamptonshire, build by the first Baron of Leominster, William Fermor, in the Baroque style.

Bookplate of "Sir Thomas Hesketh Bart. Rufford Hall Lancashire". - There were eight Hesketh Baronets. This potentially the bookplate of the third Barnett, Thomas Hesketh (1777 - 1842), who was Preston's MP.

Condition: 

Spines with very minor wear. Tooled labels present. Minor rubbing / wear to the heads and tails. All boards securely attached with very minor wear to joints and hinges. Boards with very minor scratches and minor rubbing. Very minor shelf wear. Rubbing to corners. Dulling to page edges. Two bookplates attached to front pastedown in all volumes. Text blocks very clean with light toning and very sporadic very minor foxing. Lacking frontispiece, engraved title page and title page of the Hypocrite in volume five.
