Size: 145 x 230 mm (approx.)

Condition:

Shows extremely attractively on the shelf with very light rubbing to the raised bands and extremities but generally remaining near fine, retaining all tooled labels. The tooled morocco labels also have these very nice intricate leaf designs in each corner that we've not come across before. The spine is slightly sunned, though this is only really noticeable with comparison to the boards. Light rubbing across the joints with both boards securely attached. Overall the binding is secure and without shelf lean. Minor shelf wear. Top edge gilt, slightly and non-uniformly dulled. Small bookplate to front pastedown and small bookseller label of R.D. Steedman, Newcastle to foot of front pastedown. Very nice gilt turn-ins. Very clean through the text block. Overall near fine.
