Spines prominently rubbed with the spine of volume one having a vertical crack to the backstrip. Large fragments and of tooled labels lacking including the whole title label of volume three. Wear to heads and bottoms of spines. Volumes one and four lacking headcaps. Tailcap of volume one mostly detached. All boards attached with rubbed joints, some of which are starting. Hinges starting or cracked. Boards rubbed and scuffed with few scratches. Shelf and edge wear. Dulling to page edges with ink (?) stains. Edge toning to endpapers as commensurate to the binding. Text blocks very clean with light toning and very sporadic very minor foxing. Text block cracked between pp.146-147 in volume one.
