Uniform full vellum with gilt titles with decorative borders. Bindings with some rubbing and marks. Few very small wormholes to the bottoms of spines and bottom of joints. Shelf and edge wear. Shelf lean. Marble page edges, lightly dulled. Front board of volume one warped. All boards securely attached with minor wear to joints and hinges. Endpapers with some discolouration and edge toning as commensurate with the binding. Torn out bookplate remnants attached to the reverso of the ffep in volume one, and the bookplate present but prominently rubbed out in volume four. Purple ink stamps to preliminaries in both volumes. Text blocks extremely clean with light toning and occasional foxing. Volumes one and four only. These large full vellum folios shows attractively on the shelf.
