Full brown calf with brown tooled labels between raised bands. Two tooled labels present, the rest lacking. Bindings rubbed and scuffed. All boards attached with rubbing along joints, and some joints and hinges cracked, thus some fragile. Shelf and edge wear. Shelf leans but remain upright. Page edges dulled with some small dark marks. No attached bookplates or ownership inscriptions. Text blocks very clean with light toning and occasional foxing, and some sporadic damp staining. Edge toning to endpapers as commensurate with the full leather bindings. Some blanks lacking, refer to the collation above. Very small hole over the page numbers of B2 in volume one. Loss to the bottom outer corner of 2F2 in volume two with loss of text. Small closed tears to the edge of an index leaf in volume two. Dark marks to the last few leaved in volume four. Title page lacking in volume five. Dark marks to front blank and title page in volume six. Rear blank in volume six partially detached. Foldout map in volume six torn with significant loss (final photo).
