19th century half calf, spine tooled in gilt, rubbed with minor loss at foot of backstrip. Both boards are securely attached, the binding is secure, and stands without shelf lean. Title leaf remounted with loss, pictured. Some marginal dampstaining, text block mildly toned, but generally clean and fully legible. Some pencil to A4 recto (first gathering), a small number of places with marginalia, but generally clean. Lacks frontis and portraits, but with the two maps and bifold plate (plan). Textually complete through the main text, though lacking the final index section of 18pp, as often. A nice copy.
