Lucan's Pharsalia 1670
M. Annaei Lucani de Bello Civili, pars prima, Cum Hugonis Grotii, Farnabii notis integris et Variorum selectissimis; Accurante Cornelio Schrevelio. Lugduni: Claudii Bourgeat, 1670.

An excellent copy of Lucan's Pharsalia, a reprint of the Elzevir Press edition the year prior, here with the notes of Hugo Grotius and others.

Condition:
[28pp, 419pp]; [1pp, 420-609 (i.e. 619), 176pp (index)]
Collates as complete according to the BNCF copy, with the mispaginations at the end of the main text of the second volume as called for, as well as the complete rather substantial index.
Contemporary full calf bindings, rubbed with some loss, joints cracked, with all boards securely attached, bindings secure, and without shelf lean. Shelf and edge wear with some small bumps to edges. Top page edges uniformly dulled as typical else edges are very good. Both volumes retain their tooled red morocco title labels, but with the volume numbering labels with loss, fragmentary. Bookplate to front pastedown of both vols. Endpapers edge toned as commensurate with the bindings, else internally very clean throughout, mildly toned, without loss of sense anywhere through the text of all sections.
A lovely set of Lucan's Civil War, also known as the Pharsalia.
