Margherita Pusterla: A Tale by Cesare Cantu. Paris; Baudry, European Bookstore; 1840.
-------------------
The novella tells the story of Margherita Pusterla, a figure from medieval Italian history. Set in the backdrop of medieval Italy, the novella weaves a narrative of love, loyalty, and intrigue, drawing readers into the romantic and political complexities of the era. It was first published just two years earlier than this printing in 1838, so this is a very early edition of this work, beautifully bound in two uniform full calf bindings.
