Meditations Upon the Gospel of John 1625
Meditations Upon the Gospel of John 1625
Meditations Upon the Gospell by Saint John. By Sir William Pelham, Knight. London: Printed by G. P. for John Budge, 1625.
-------------------
A fantastic copy in the original unrestored full vellum binding of this incredibly scarce commentary on John's gospel in English, printed around the time of the printing of the King James Bible. We could trace zero sales records for this title over the last century at auction, though several copies are held institutionally around the world. It is very rare in commerce, this likely being the only opportunity at acquisition. English vellum bindings of the early 17th century are also notably scarce.
