Half brown calf over marbled paper backed boards with a gilt title to the spine. Gilt bands to the spine dulled, as well as the gilt title. Binding rubbed and scuffed. Both boards attached with the front joint and both hinges cracked, and the rear joint starting, thus somewhat fragile. Shelf and edge wear. Yellow page edges dulled, top edge darkened as often. Bookplate attached to the front pastedown. Pencil shelf mark reading "E 2/6" to the ffep. Text block very clean with light toning and occasional foxing. Small tear to the top of pp.1/2 of the second volume.
