Collated as complete through each volume with the original blanks. Some restoration work was undertaken in 2012 at a cost of £65 which is for the reattachment of some boards and joint repairs. The invoice for this is contained loosely at the rear of volume three which also indicates the prior ownership of this set with the historian Malcolm Deas, OBE. Consequently there is some repair work to the joints etc. All boards are attached but the rear board of the first volume is fragile - the others are secure. Spines show very attractively indeed on the shelf. Some foxing to endpapers else clean through the text blocks. Shelf wear etc. Gilt borders to the boards are bright and particularly nice.
