-------------------
Size: 107 x 171 mm (approx., each)
Condition:
Uniform contemporary full calf, rubbed with minor losses, but generally showing very attractively on the shelf indeed. Joints rubbed, starting in places, but with all boards securely attached, the binding secure and without shelf lean, whether individually or as a set. Page edges coloured red contemporaneously, top edges dulled as typical, else the edges are very good. There is some non-uniformity at the edges in all volumes due to the folding plates, which are very numerous. Volumes one and five lacking their original red tooled morocco labels, the others are present but with some loss to volumes two, four and six. No attached bookplates, but an ink ownership inscription to the front pastedown of each volume and the ownership stamp of "H. Hall" at the head of the main title pages. The text blocks are very clean throughout, mildly toned, but generally in near fine condition. An excellent set with a very large number of incredible foldout plates.
