Half brown calf over marbled paper backed boards, with a black tooled label between raised bands. Binding rubbed and scuffed. Both boards attached with joints and hinges starting, previously repaired, thus fragile. Shelf and edge wear. Marbled page edges dulled. Bookplate attached to front pastedown. Text block Very clean with light toning and occasional foxing. Plates oxidised. Ink ownership inscription to the head of the title page. Edge tears with small loss of marginalia to pp.315-318.
Bound without half title, all Phiz plates present.
