Contemporary full calf finely decorated in gilt to the spines with the boards lined in gilt and decorated with criss-cross blindstamping. Spines rubbed with some losses, notably at the foot of the third volume, but remains an attractive set on the shelf nonetheless. All boards securely attached. Without attached bookplates, but with an illegible ownership inscription to the head of the ffep of each volume, contemporary. The text is generally exceptionally clean, a few leaves foxed in the first volume, without loss of sense to the text.
