Full red cloth with gilt chapter designs to both boards and gilt title to spine. Binding in great condition, with minor wear, colour somewhat dulled at extremities and to spine. Two small dent to the top and bottom of the rear board. Some marks to the rear board. Both boards attached with minor wear to joints and hinges. Minor shelf and edge wear. Page edges toned and foxed. Text block very clean with occasional marks and foxing. Ink gift inscription to half title. Small dampstaining to the half title and title page. Half title foxed. Small mark to pp.1. Text block cracked between pp.4 and pp.5.
