Octopussy and The Living Daylights by Ian Fleming. London: Jonathan Cape, 1956.
FIRST EDITION FIRST IMPRESSION of Ian Fleming's final novel in the James Bond series in the publisher's dust jacket. Since the dust jacket is price clipped we can't be sure if the dust jacket is in its first or second state but it is a first edition dust jacket.

Size: 132 x 192 mm (approx.)

Condition:

[viii, 95pp]

Original publisher's black cloth binding lettered in silver to the spine and front board. Binding near fine with minor shelf wear, very slightly cocked without shelf lean. Without any ownership inscriptions or attached bookplates. 23mm stain (at its largest) from the half title through to pp.16 with pp.9 being most affected (first page of text) not rendering any text illegible, else very clean throughout the text block.

Spine panel of the dust jacket a little toned with some wear at the joints. Minor stains to front panel with darker stains near the joint to the rear flap which are largely obscured by the dark background, more visible on the verso. Price clipped, quite significantly so. Minor loss at head and foot of spine panel of the dust jacket as often with some light wear at extremities and very small closed tears.
